This above all: to thine own self be true.
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
– said by Polonius to his son Laertes from Shakespeare’s play Hamlet.

We begin with the self…in our current human incarnation. Our individuation began with the breath. Oxygen filled our lungs. Blood pumped through our hearts. Neuro-pathways fired up. All systems were go.

Now here we are, years later contemplating our lives on this first day of the first month of new year. Seems as good a place as any to start. I present this mandala as a way to help deepen our connection to our inner (authentic) self. To ponder the situation, to see what gives, to find questions, to find answers or not.
